Kimberlee Moore offers Acupuncture in Chelmsford, MA

I offer both Japanese and Chinese style acupuncture, as well as non-insertive acupuncture using tuning forks.

People ask, what is the the difference between Japanese and Chinese acupuncture?   If you look at Japanese acupuncture, it starts with nourishing the roots of the tree ( treating the issue underlining and creating the main complaint) and with Chinese style acupuncture, starts with treating the branches of the tree (current symptom manifesting/main complaint). You can understand that they are both going about it in a different ways. They both are effective. As they say, there are many paths to the mountain top.

In treatment, I incorporate one or both systems of acupuncture, depending on what is presenting with the patient, and what is creating the current manifestation of imbalance. Each acupuncture treatment is customized and unique to each patients health needs.

Our clinic appreciates the diversity of human beings and we do not discriminate based on race, national origin, religion, age, height, weight, education, language, ability, marital status, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity or any other factor.

What is Acupuncture?

Moore Acupuncture Center   神 offers safe, effective Acupuncture in Chelmsford, MA

Several thousand years ago, East Asian practitioners discovered that the body forms disharmonies as a result of the various physical and mental stresses of life. Oriental medical theory explains these disharmonies as an imbalance of opposing forces called yin and yang. This imbalance disrupts the movement of the body's vital energy (qi) along the meridian pathways, which are channels through which the body's energy is thought to flow. Acupuncture restores the smooth flow of qi. By inserting and manipulating hair-thin needles at specific points, I am able to return the body to its natural balance and promote the body's ability to heal itself.

Acupuncture returns the body to its natural state of balance and harmony.

It is essential to honor the body, mind, spirit and energy systems as a whole collective system. When one part is out of balance, it effects the others creating disharmony. True healing is only possible when your body, mind, spirit, and energy systems are in harmony.

Is Acupuncture Safe?

Yes. Acupuncture is used by millions of Americans every year. Acupuncturists are required to undergo extensive education, including detailed study of human anatomy and training in Clean Needle Technique. I have passed comprehensive national board examinations administered by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and am licensed by the state. As required by law, I use pre-sterilized, disposable, single-use needles to ensure your complete safety.

In Chinese Medicine, we look at the body, mind and soul as one system that is integrative.   The emotions affect our body, mind, spirit and energy systems/meridians. When looking at the body as a whole, it is important to be mindful of not just what we eat and physcial exercise, but also inner practices that nourish the spirit, keep the energy flowing, and that cultivates peace within. Stress and negative emotions create energy disharmony, stagnation, and emotional toxicity in these systems as a whole. If one is out of balance, it affects they others. Stagnation in the body can create inflammation and pain in the physical body. Acupuncture is a great way to release stagnate energy & enhance qi flow, and nourish the spirit. Here is a chart on how emotional energy affect the body.
