Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words. Keep your words positive because your words become your behaviors. Keep your behaviors positive because your behaviors become your habits. Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values. Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny.                                                                                         -Mahatma Gandhi

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the belief is that 80% of disease is caused by negative thoughts and emotions. When we feel negative thoughts and emotions, it is subtle charged energy, whereas the physical body is a denser energy. As we root into these negavite thoughts and emotions, the energy becomes heavier and starts to sink into the energy field and body. As the thoughts become heavier, the energy can create blockages in he energy field and affect the meridians, as well as stagnate emotional energy moves deeper into the physical body creating inflamation and pain.   As you can see from the chart above, certain emotions affect specific organs in the body/meridians.

An example of this is when you go to a funeral, you can feel the heavines of grief and sadness in the air and room.   It is palpable. When you suffer and are having feelings sadness, the energy collects and effects the energy flow of the Lung and Large Intestine meridans creating heaviness and stagnation If you are sad once in awhile, it is okay, but when you are chronically sad, it effects your body, mind, spirit and energy field. Tapping is a perfect tool to move the stagnate emotionally charged energy out of the body and meridians, which helps to create the opportunity to stimulate qi/energy flow in the meridian to enhance balance.

After researchig and practicing many years different types of Enerngy Psychology tapping techniques such as EFT, TFT and TAT, I created my own protocol, which is  Emotional Release Technique ©. Being a board certified acupuncturist, I wanted to understand why tapping on certain acupuncture points helped to release blocked energy, stress, and negative emotions out of the energy field and body bringing the patient back to peace. Which points were most effective. What I realized is a lot of these other techniques work, but wanted to come up with a shorter version of these tapping teachnique and use acupuncture points that were most effective to make great elmotional and physical changes quick.   So, ERT was born. Just 5 points to tap and ending with an affirmation.   Been practicing this techniques with a lot of patients and have witness major transformation.

What is Emotional Release Technique ©   ERT

ERT is a brief, effective energy psychotherapy that influences brain/body/emotions reprogramming technique, where you gently tap on specific acupuncture points on the body with your fingertips, while you repeat a phrase quietly within.

ERT it is a brief and rapid stress management & energy psychotherapy protocol that helps with releasing negative emotionally charged energy that is stagnate in the body. In Chinese medicine, we know that emotional stagnation can manifest into inflammation, pain, and create imbalance in the body and mind. ERT focuses on the relationship between thoughts, emotions, sensations, and behaviors and known bioenergy (meridians, aura, and bio-field ). It is known as Energy Psychology.

ERT works similar to acupuncture, but using the means of tapping on specific acupuncture points on the body   Its proponents say that it can heal a variety of emotional, mental and physical ailments through specialized "tapping" with the fingers at meridian points.   Within minutes, you can often re-balance your body’s autonomic nervous system and witness painful feelings dissolve or lessen. While the process is simple, you are allowing the innate wisdom of your body to release the core of your sufferings that no longer serve you.

What makes Tapping work?

"Stress and trauma are stored in our limbic system, one of the oldest parts of our brain. Our limbic system developed pre-verbally, which is why years of talk therapy often do not reach the core energetics of our stress.
Tapping sends a tiny electromagnetic pulse that down-regulates the limbic system and lets the brain and nervous system know "it's okay." The Tapping releases the stressful negative emotions associated with painful memories and relegates these to a more neutral part of the brain."
-Marcella Friel

Applications of Energy Psychology

ERT applications incorporate natural energetic components into the treatment process that include, but are not limited to, meridians, chakras, aura, biofields, and bio-electrical and electromagnetic activity of the body, the nervous system and the heart.. Some sessions are focused on the way in which thought and intention are expressed in the bioenergy system (energy system and also body), and explore the therapeutic value of precise use of language and congruent intention. The ERT approach adapts and integrates easily into most psychotherapy models, healthcare orientations, and models of performance enhancement. ERT approach is often exceedingly rapid, has little to no adverse effects, are usually experienced as self-empowering by patients, and are easily amenable to self-help protocols, influencing peace and relaxation within.

ERT is a technique that works with the whole body-mind system, energy psychology facilitates rapid positive change and optimal psychotherapeutic outcomes, and is aligned with the latest findings from neuroscience and traumatology. ERT helps to treat psychological and emotional problems, facilitate health and wellbeing, and improve human performance.
